Event Title: Buffalo Exchange's "Older Sibling" Opening in Tucson
Neighborhoods: West Tucson
Contact: Kerstin Block
Instead of remaining an eternal teenager, Buffalo Trading Post is for the adventurous soul still young in mind, and interested in wonderful clothing and unique things that are just a bit sophisticated.
Owner Kerstin Block, founder of Buffalo Exchange - New & Recycled Fashion®, is opening—what else?—a store that buys, trades, and sells used clothing— and yet there is more. Buffalo Trading Post - New & Recycled Goods offers buy-sell-trade for clothing, house-wares, and home decor. The changing inventory includes Mexican pottery, mid-century kitchen items like Pyrex dishes, outdoor furniture with a vintage feel, and cute small Mexican furniture pieces. A focus on eclectic contemporary women’s clothing, hand-crafted imports, and cowgirl fashions. Carrying belts, shoes, boots, scarves, purses—but no jewelry. Also textiles, serapes, and wall hangings from Mexico and South America.
Buffalo Trading Post is opening mid- to late-February 2014 at Cat Mountain Station, 2740 S. Kinney Road, Tucson, AZ 85735. Hours will be Tuesday-Sunday, from 9 am to 4 pm. Business phone number 520-578-0226. Buys & trades anytime, paying 30% cash or 50% trade of the selling price. Store Manager, Amy Ostlie, is happy to walk customers through the buy-sell-trade process, just mention it's your first time!
Cat Mountain Station is a restored 1950s artisan shopping center located just west of Tucson, on the way to Old Tucson Studios and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Unique shops are grouped around a charming brick courtyard, ramada, and fountain. Including Coyote Pause Café, serving comfort food with a Southwestern twist; Studio S’Evans, an art and framing studio; Affairs of the Art Gallery, an artist cooperative; Cat Mountain Emporium, Indian art and jewelry; Cat Mountain Lodge, a five-room eco-friendly bed & breakfast; and Spencer’s Observatory, a private observatory open to the public by appointment.
